Woodford 3-Bike Motorbike Trailer | Overview & User Guide

If you need to transport one or more motorcycles, our Woodford 3-bike motorbike trailer provides a simple, lightweight solution for moving up to three bikes at once.

Available to hire from Hampshire Trailer Co, the trailer is ideal for motorcycle collections, track days, breakdowns, servicing, trips away and anyone who needs to transport a bike without riding it to its destination.

In the video below, we give you a complete overview of our Woodford 3-bike trailer, including its key features, how to hitch and unhitch it from your vehicle, and how to set up the loading ramp.

Woodford 3-Bike Trailer Specifications

Our Woodford motorcycle trailer has been designed specifically for transporting up to three motorcycles while remaining compact and easy to tow.

Gross Weight: 750 kg
Payload: 550 kg
Bed Dimensions: 2.4 m × 1.4 m
Capacity: Up to 3 motorcycles
Braking: Unbraked
Electrics: 13-pin connection, with 7-pin adapters available on request

Before hiring, you should always check the combined weight of the motorcycles you intend to transport and ensure your vehicle is suitable for towing the trailer.

Designed for Up to Three Motorcycles

The trailer features three individual motorcycle channels and wheel chocks, allowing it to carry one, two or three motorcycles depending on their size and combined weight.

As a motorcycle is rolled into position, the wheel chock folds around the wheel to help hold the bike upright during loading.

The wheel chocks are there to assist with positioning and do not replace the need to properly secure each motorcycle using suitable straps.

We'll be publishing a separate guide demonstrating how to correctly load and secure a motorcycle to the trailer.

Simple Motorcycle Loading

At the rear of the trailer is a removable loading ramp, which is stored securely within the trailer when travelling.

To prepare the trailer for loading, the number plate holder can be lowered out of the way before the ramp is removed from its storage channel and positioned onto the required motorcycle rail.

This allows the same loading ramp to be used across the different motorcycle positions.

How to Hitch the Woodford Motorbike Trailer

The Woodford uses a straightforward towball coupling and jockey wheel arrangement.

As demonstrated in our video, the basic hitching process involves positioning the trailer over the towball, attaching the safety chain, lowering the coupling onto the towball using the jockey wheel, checking that the coupling is correctly engaged, raising and securing the jockey wheel, and finally connecting the trailer electrics.

The trailer uses a 13-pin electrical connector as standard, while a 7-pin adapter can be provided on request for vehicles using the older connection.

We recommend carrying out a final check of the coupling, safety connection, jockey wheel and trailer lights before setting off.
